The half of it watch full length trailer. This film is like Ellie Chu, seems like anyone else, but it"s pure poetry, so deep and well thought... It"s not another rom com, the intensity of each character is amazing. The half of it watch full length movie. I nearly didn"t watch as it is clearly a teenage movie. but, so much more.
All the leads are wonderful. Ellie Chu is fantastic, as was Aster and Paul Munsky (Show names used. Sure, there were the usual tropes spotted along the way but with an original and fresh take. I genuinely went along for the ride and totally enjoyed the movie. A few moments of heartbreak, happiness and revelation and a moment toward the end reminiscent of a classic movie gave the heartstrings a tug. I"m probably over scoring it as it definitely no Oscar winner but based purely on my gut feel.
A win by Netflix.

At first glance, The Half of It" might look like a typical teen rom com. I blame this on the trailer. Thank you, Michael and writer-director Alice Wu, for elaborating the film"s opening. I really hope that we will get the sequel of thoi and get to see the progression between ellie and aster, they"re soulmates and they deserve to be with each other tbh. I"ve been saying since the trailer came out that this should be a series. Not a movie. I wanted to see more Ellie and Aster scenes. I ship them so much.
